Full refurbishment of the 110kV Krasnystaw – Rejowiec line
Full refurbishment of the 110kV Krasnystaw – Rejowiec line in the Lublin province included dismantling of the old line and then adapting the new line to the changed operating temperature of the phase conductors.
The standard cross-section of 110kV conductors used for many years in Poland to build an overhead line is 240 mm2. Over time, these lines have become very overloaded. Transmission of additional power through an exploited line led to an increase in the temperature of the conductors, their stretching and, as a consequence, a dangerous decrease in their distance from the ground.
The new line was built on tubular pylons using low-sag conductors.
The total length of the modernised line is 15.3 km. The total gross investment cost reached over 11.5 million PLN.
